Your favorites are right on the side and load pretty much instantly when clicked so you can move between lots of directories quickly using Cmd+Opt+Left/Right to switch tabs.įorklift allows you to open a remote file for editing locally, and upload the file when it changes. The panes are tabbed, and you can set it to load the last open tabs when it starts which also simplifies things. You can save favorites, not only of each pane but as a ‘workspace’ that changes both remote and local directories, so you can easily load the directories for a project right away. You can use Cmd+Left/Right to switch panes, and it syncs from the selected pane to the unselected pane. ![]() This makes it easy to work on a local copy and sync it to a remote directory with only 3 key presses (Ω+f for Forklift, Sft+Ctl+S to Sync, Enter to confirm). The keyboard shortcut menu contains every menu item (even the menu options added by Afloat*). It has two panes that can each be a remote or local directory, and you can easily sync between them. ![]() There are a few specific ways that I have it configured to make it painless to work with remote files. Forklift is an SFTP/FTP/etc program with a lot of good features that make it easy to work on remote files. I like programs that work well without a lot of configuration and effort to use.
